I Buy Books

I buy books.  

Need space for more books? Are you Downsizing? Are you moving home? Or maybe you need to dispose of a collection you don't want or need. If you have a small to medium sized collection that you are interested in selling I would be more than happy to talk to you about potentially purchasing your books. 

I try very hard to make the process as easy and painless as possible because I know it's sometimes hard to leave books behind but my role is to get once loved books into the hands of those that will continue to appreciate and love them as the once were. 

So what will you buy? 

Almost any collection that is in good condition, free from mold or water damage. 

I am very interested in Authors libraries as well as estate collections. 

More importantly what will you likely not buy? 

• Magazine collections 
• Encyclopedias
• ex-library books (there maybe exceptions for antiquarian books)
• Water damaged books
• Common computer programming and related texts. 
• Mass Market Romance such as Harlequin 

So how do I sell my collection to you?

I often travel up to a few hundred miles to purchase collections and while traveling I cannot be selling so I have to maximize my time and yours. 

If you would like me to consider your collection for purchase please provide me with a list of the books if possible, at the very least I would need to see photos of the books that clearly show titles and condition. Even better than photos would be a video of the books. Please show all blemishes and damage as this helps me to decide if the collection is right for me.

If you buy my books will you take everything? 

My preferred way to buy a collection is to buy the lot but sometimes there is a chance that I may not have the space or the need for some titles. This is something that will be negotiated during the sale process. Typically I will take everything.
